Got a question about your shoot? Below you'll find answers to the most common ones - from preparation to payment to what happens on the day. Can't find what you're looking for? Email me and I'll get right back to you with the information you need.
How Do I Book?
Contact me and I’ll give you a list of available dates which work for us both. £75 secures your booking and guaranteed place in my diary. You’re set!
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes. After you have paid your deposit (£75) you can elect to pay for the remaining balance of your shoot across four instalments via Paypal depending on your intended date. The full balance of your photo session must be cleared 24 hours before your shoot date.
How do I prepare for my shoot?
Before I even take one photo of you, I will take the time in getting to know you and the kind of photos you want. This will take place across two calls or Zoom meetings. During these we will run through all you need to know to get the most out of your photo session. It’s a collaboration. Between you and me. Together we’ll create the vision that ensures you get the images you’ll love and treasure.
Do I have to be in the photos?
Not if you don’t want to or you don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera. I can take beautiful portraits of your horse. And also at liberty in the field or arena.
What can I expect on the day?
Laughter. Fun. Letting your relationship with your horse, partner – anyone, shine and stand out. Above all, you’ll be relaxed. No awkward poses. Nothing that seems unnatural or forced. You’ll most likely forget the camera is there.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want. Those favourite jeans or breeches. Your wedding dress or other special outfit. Or simply what makes you feel relaxed, comfortable, special, yourself. The French have a saying when it comes to choosing what to wear: Wear a friend.
Stuck? Need help? Want something special? I’m here if you need anything from styling advice to your dream outfit on the day. I have a wide selection of stunning costumes, designer dresses, beautiful riding skirts and Yellowstone-inspired Western wear for hire in all sizes to suit your style and body type. My aim is that you look and feel beautiful on the day – and take away the images that capture that feeling forever.
What about the weather?
I don’t need bright sunshine or clear skies for your shoot. All it needs to be is dry without too much wind. Your deposit guarantees your shoot and if the weather isn’t cooperating on the day booked, we simply reschedule for another day.
Where I am isn’t as good looking as me or my horse! Should I even invest in a photoshoot?
Location, location, location isn’t everything. But the light is everywhere. And I make the most of that. And whatever interesting textures, angles, buildings, backdrops your yard or even paddock has to offer. All we need is somewhere safe and where you have permission to be. Let’s discover the hidden potential right where you are.
What areas of the UK do you cover?
I travel to clients throughout the UK. The cost of your photo shoot covers travel within a 40 mile radius of Cambridge. For clients outside of that zone, there is an additional charge of 45p per mile each way. This is worked out before I come to you and is included in your final instalment or pre-payment.
How long after my shoot until I get my pictures?
Waiting to see your images is the most exciting and highly anticipated part of the entire process. I do understand that waiting to see the final result can seem like forever! Usually you will receive your first 3-5 edited images in your private gallery within 24 hours of your shoot. Your entire gallery will be available to view and download (depending on your shoot package), within one week.
Do you only take photos of horses?
Weddings. Parties. Anything. As the former creative head of two international brand agencies, I’ve provided images and unforgettable iconic content to some of the world’s leading brands. So my ability to capture those moments extends to weddings, special events, fashion, products, businesses and content for influencers. And no, not just horses but everything that barks, quacks, moos, meows or flies.
